Japan Tobacco (JT) announced that it would be introducing Camel Black Box and Camel White Box in particular outlets all over Japan, not including Okinawa Prefecture. The innovative to Japan smoking products are reported to possess outstanding taste and pleasant flavor. Camel Black Box King Size cigarettes deliver 6 mg of tar and 0.5 mg of nicotine, while Camel White Box King Size cigarettes offer 4 mg of tar and 0.4 mg of nicotine. JT reported in a press note that Camel, which was released in the US in 1913, was the very first in the world to incorporate the American blend that has since became the most popular and wide spread blend.


The packages of Camel Black and Camel White have been developed in a modern and minimalist style to match the requirements of modern adult smokers.

Camel Black Box and Camel White Box are at the moment available for sale in over 20 countries, primarily in Europe. At the end of 2013, Camel Black & White will be offered in 25 duty free markets all over the world. The range will be presented at first throughout local markets. “Faithful to our status of leaders in advancement and quality, we are always aiming to motivate our consumers with the top quality smoking products and Camel Black and White are good illustrations of that”, stated David Francis, JTI’s General Manager WWDF Vice President.


Among some other coming projects are additional extensions to the Camel "Discover the World" campaign, which demonstrates new pack styles each year. A limited version for Chinese travelers, showcasing the most frequently visited cities by the Chinese, will be amongst the new add ons to the range. The majority of limited editions go for only a two month, in case of a success; the Chinese travel line will turn out to be a long lasting feature of the range.

JT is also carrying on the extension of its well-known Smoking Lounges, with a range of new installations at Dubai International Airport. It is estimated that by the end of the year JT will open five lounges there, which will include one of 240sq m - the biggest smoking lounge in the world up to now. In other places, the company is incorporating five new locations at Zürich Airport, with ten to be open at Frankfurt Airport and additional openings intended at major Russian airports.
